About The Role

Niche is growing at a fast pace! We are looking for someone that has a passion for identifying and attracting top talent.  As our first full-time employee dedicated to talent acquisition, you will play a critical role in scaling and shaping the culture of our team.  You will lead recruitment at Niche and own full-cycle recruiting - from building the spec, sourcing and screening candidates, recruiting, candidate experience, and recruiting process management.  We’re looking for a positive and thoughtful self-starter that can take initiative and adapt to evolving circumstances. This role will report directly to our Director of People Development to lead our recruiting function.

During the First Month:

  • Learn about Niche by meeting with various team members to learn more about our company.
  • Kick off 1:1s with hiring managers and other team members to identify key requirements for each role, learn working and communication styles, and progress towards hiring goals
  • Dive into sourcing to seek out, engage, and nurture relationships with top talent: you’ll build pipeline now to make your first sourced hired
  • Own your first wave of candidates from the first touch point to rounding out the final steps of the interview process
  • Be able to successfully navigate our Applicant Tracking System, schedule interviews, create candidate profiles, and much more

Within 3 Months:

  • Perfect the Niche pitch - you’ll be able to talk to anyone about our opportunities
  • Partner with the Director of People Development to deliver interviewer training based on what you've noticed and feedback about candidates and interviewers
  • Revisit the descriptions for your roles. Partner with hiring managers to make needed revisions to influence your pipeline
  • Hire your first candidate(s)
  • Use data and your own instincts to identify inefficiencies and innovate/improve: you'll have the ability to influence and drive change and process improvement
  • Leveraging your pipeline data, create a plan of action around your learnings, and share your plan with your stakeholders

Within 6 Months:

  • Own a flawlessly positive and empowering candidate experience: ensure that candidates always know where they're at in the process, giving timely updates, and communicating expectations and results to all candidates
  • Have a deep understanding of the team’s talent needs and staying one step ahead of the growth
  • Provide feedback to leadership and interviewers as to what's working, what's not, and propose ideas for what to change
  • Consistently achieve your hiring goals; we’ll look to you to deliver month over month

Within 12 Months:

  • Help scale out our org, be ready to step up into greater responsibilities
  • Partner on outlining resourcing for the next six months--leverage metrics, historical data, and make recommendations to the Director of People Development

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-5 years of progressive recruiting experience including sourcing and full cycle recruiting
  • Bachelor's degree required and related certifications a plus
  • Proven track record for assessing talent beyond matching keywords on a resume. A passion to find candidates that align with Niche’s mission and values
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates - you know the best candidates are happy where they are at and despite this fact, you know how to engage with them
  • Technologically Savvy - we don’t expect you to code, but we do need you to have a firm grasp of different coding languages and technical stacks
  • Possess an upbeat, and outgoing personality. You are the face of Niche - you’ll need to embody the culture of our company to potential candidates
  • Ability to build strong, productive relationships with hiring managers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
  • Superior public speaking skills/ability to pitch our company mission & employment opportunities to organizations and potential candidates
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems
  • Handle confidential information discreetly
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, works with a sense of urgency, and thrives in a self-directed entrepreneurial environment; enjoys challenges
