About the Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated Business Operations Analyst to join us here at Niche. You will be asked to wear many hats to help drive revenue growth and move the business forward as you gain experience. Your work will directly impact our ability to grow the direct sales organization at Niche. Your primary focus will be on analyzing client performance to ensure we are driving value, prove ROI, and identify new opportunities to grow our client base. You will also be responsible for completing several ad-hoc analyses for our internal team and for clients. 

What You Will Do

During the 1st Month:

  • Collaborate with various team members to learn about the company
  • Work with members of the Business Operations team to begin to understand our users, our clients, the industry, and our direct sales organization
  • Work with Analysts across the company department to learn about our tools, workflow and analytical process
  • Shadow team members to learn more about how we collaborate with other areas of the business and how your role fits with external stakeholders and teams
  • Learn the basics of Salesforce administration
  • Learn how to query data from our databases and external data sources, like Google Analytics
  • Learn how to clean and analyze data using R
  • Start learning about how we show our value to clients and get involved with performing ROI analyses

Within 3 Months:

  • Gain a deep understanding of our sales organization and how different teams work
  • Become the point person for performing client ROI analyses and other ad-hoc sales reporting initiatives
  • Begin to learn the ins and outs of K-12 and college enrollment marketing, digital advertising, and how we drive value for our clients—do some self-guided research and present your findings
  • Work directly with the COO and Director of Business Operations & Analytics on reporting and analytics initiatives that will impact company and revenue growth

Within 6 Months:

  • Perform self-directed research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth
  • Begin to use your experience and insights to drive strategic change in sales operations
  • Take full ownership of different research, analytics, and operations initiatives
  • You will be the go-to person for ad-hoc analytics and requests from clients, the sales team, and other internal stakeholders.

Within 12 Months:

  • You will have a deep knowledge of our product, company, and sales organization
  • You will own several facets of sales operations and analytics at Niche
  • You will use research and analysis to drive strategic growth for the company
  • You will be held accountable for improving the sales funnel and growing direct sales revenue

What We Are Looking For

  • Educational background in a quantitative or business focused field
  • Experience supporting sales & business units to drive revenue growth
  • Passion for using data and research to solve problems
  • Ability to translate vague requirements into prioritized problems to solve
  • Effective communication of complex analyses to different audiences
  • Proven track record of getting things done
  • SQL, R, or Python experience

Useful Experience

  • Web Analytics
  • Sales & Business Analytics
  • Statistical Modelling
  • A/B Testing
  • Salesforce or CRM experience
  • Experience with digital advertising
  • Understanding of SaaS business strategy
  • Understanding of K-12 and/or college admissions processes
