Within 3 Months:

  • You will grow as a contributing member of a product team by supporting and communicating with the Product Owner and Development Team to help manage projects
  • You will begin exercising your agile or scrum knowledge by facilitating team meetings, tracking progress, assisting in the breakdown of work, and removing impediments from your team
  • You will independently manage 1 product team

Within 6 months:

  • You will independently manage 2 product teams
  • You will begin conducting trainings to further the agile and scrum frameworks
  • You will feel comfortable iterating towards more and more useful processes

Within 12 months:

  • You will guide teams as a leader and coach
  • You can contribute your project management skills by managing additional projects outside of product teams
  • You openly and freely collaborate with the project management staff and contribute to the evolution of our team within the company

What We Are Looking For

You are passionate, spirited, hard-working, and feed off collaboration and coordination. You have a proven track record in the software development industry for delivering high-quality results, especially under the pressure of a fast-paced culture. You place value in the team as a whole—above yourself or any other individual contributor. You understand the need to be flexible with process in order to stay nimble and provide just enough space for the makers to do what they do best: contribute to the enhancement of a highly dynamic, high traffic website. Most importantly, you want to be a part of something big that helps millions of people, and you want to have fun doing it.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years project management experience in a software development environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with members of the Engineering team on a technical level
  • Ability to translate technical information into language more accessible to non-technical stakeholders
