About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic director level candidate to lead our Account Management sales team. The Account Management team is responsible for the satisfaction, retention and revenue growth of our existing direct sales client base (schools that rely on Niche for enrollment marketing solutions). This role is vital for the continued growth of Niche and will own all top line existing client revenue responsibilities. You will develop and drive the overall strategy for your client base, guiding the team and other internal stakeholders toward the shared mission of account growth. In addition to sales leadership, the Director of Account Management will be responsible for collaborating on and implementing all related workflow and CRM processes. It is essential that the role be a strong voice for the client in all internal and external interactions and communication. While this is primarily an inside sales position, there may be some travel required to maintain and build client relationships.

What You Will Do:

During the 1st Month:

  • Attend onboarding sessions to better understand our internal processes and learn about the company
  • Learn the Niche product offerings inside and out and begin to feel comfortable performing demos of the product to any audience
  • Develop relationships with your direct reports and key complimentary leaders in the organization
  • Spend time with our Business Operations and Analytics team to learn about our digital marketing campaigns and offerings
  • Shadow Account Managers in various segments to observe best practices related to communicating the Niche product offerings and how to best position the products based on the customer needs/goals 

Within 3 Months:

  • Become proficient in all applicable sales demos in order to demonstrate effectively positioning and selling the Niche product suite
  • Build partnership with Account Management leaders and team to gain awareness around renewal and upsell strategies
  • Gain a clear understanding of our client workflows and CRM integration
  • Partner with sales leadership and operations to clearly understand current sales metrics and historic performance trends
  • Begin creating an individual account strategy model that ensures Niche is the category leader in all platforms, maximizing our total addressable market opportunity
  • Hold the team account to continue to meet and exceed sales activity levels and results

Within 6 months:

  • Develop and begin to implement an updated long term vision for the Account Management team based on key learnings
  • Take ownership of building a best in class team. This includes recruiting and hiring, ongoing training and career development for your organization
  • Begin forecasting needed sales activity and revenue achievement
  • Contribute to the ongoing initiatives to continuously improve our approach to efficiently and effectively serve our customers 
  • Own and and deliver the required team sales results

Within 12 months:

  • Become the unquestioned leader of the Account Management sales organization delivering current results and building a team that can win in the future
  • Be accountable for Customer’s overall success with Niche, including renewals, and adoption of new solutions (adoption of all applicable products is the expectation).
  • Participate in executive level strategy for the company
  • Develop a vision for your team that includes an “always on” appetite to improve in a fast changing business environment

What we are looking For

  • The rare combination of a “builder” and a tactical sales leader that can deliver results in a very competitive monthly business
  • 5+ years of experience effectively developing, managing and leading inside sales teams.
  • 3+ years experience in digital/SAAS sales
  • Experience in digital media and advertising is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, equally comfortable and effective in 1:1s as you are speaking to large audiences
  • A consistent track record of success, leading teams to exceed revenue goals
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach, develop and motivate a team. Additionally, the ability to positively influence those who are not reporting directly to you
  • Experience in building an inclusive culture with individuals from varying backgrounds and skill sets
  • The ability to analyze and coach to sales metrics
  • Proficieny in Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
