About the Role
We are looking for a driven and passionate Brand Marketing Coordinator who takes a tactical yet human-centric approach to marketing. You will be assisting the Brand Marketing team (PR & Social Media) in planning, scheduling, editing and publishing engaging content across multiple channels, including but not limited to: print/digital publications, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc. You will also be responsible for responding to direct messages and comments on different platforms as well as analyzing and reporting on the success of past marketing campaigns.

What You Will Do

During the 1st Month:

  • Attend onboarding sessions to better understand our internal processes and learn about the company
  • Work with Product, Design, and Brand Marketing teams to learn tools, workflow and pivotal milestones of the user journey
  • Shadow team members to learn more about how this role can collaborate with other areas of the business and how your role fits with external stakeholders and teams
  • Learn the basics of WordPress, Asana and other tools critical to this role
  • Gain a strong understanding of our product while becoming familiar with the various user personas
  • Understand the process of responding to social media comments and direct messages

Within 3 Months:

  • Begin responding to comments and direct messages on multiple social media platforms
  • Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns with the team for the upcoming quarter
  • Perform outreach for user-generated content
  • Organize and streamline a process for scheduling and publishing social media content

Within 6 Months:

  • Report on past marketing campaigns to help shape future brand strategy
  • Coordinate giveaway winner selection, correspondence and prizing fulfillment
  • Build PR media hit reports for weekly and monthly presentation
  • Gain an intimate knowledge of our target audience (Gen Z college searchers and Millennial Parents looking for K-12 schools) 
  • Learn how to adjust tone when addressing different audiences

Within 12 months:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop a process to scale content across multiple verticals
  • Document brand marketing process in line with established standard
  • Collaborate future strategies and campaigns

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-2 years of marketing experience through a job, internship or personal brand
  • Familiarity with current social media platforms and trends popular among the Gen-Z and Millennial audience 
  • Strong copywriting and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment

Useful Experience

  • Understanding of the education vertical and college admissions process
  • Experience managing a successful social media account
  • Experience with social media marketing tools like Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.
