About the Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced sales trainer with a proven track record of maximizing sales rep effectiveness through execution of new hire and continued education training. You will be the primary contact for all newly hired members of the sales team, aiding in their in-depth understanding of our products, strategies and solutions for potential and existing clients.

Your previous business, sales, training, and coaching experience will help develop/deliver
onboarding/coaching programs to grow skills sets and improve pipeline creation, upsell opportunities & win/retention rates. Collaborating with Sales Leadership, you will work closely with our existing sales teams (SDRs, AEs and AMs) in skill assessment, career development and new product training.

This position is a fit for anyone that loves the challenge of training sales representatives across a variety of skill levels and pushing everyone to be the best versions of themselves. This will be a key position with high visibility to Sales Leadership.  Ultimately, your work will develop and measure sales rep skill growth as Niche continues to scale and improve our high-performing sales team.

What You Will Do:
During the 1st Month:

  • Attend onboarding sessions to better understand our internal processes and learn about the company
  • Learn the Niche product offerings inside and out and begin to feel comfortable performing demos of the product to any audience
  • Develop relationships with sales leaders and key complimentary leaders in the organization
  • Shadow (live/virtual and thru recorded Zoom calls) SDR, Account Executive and Account Manager sales team members in various segments to observe best practices and identify areas for improvement
  • Spend time with our Business Operations and Analytics team to learn about our digital marketing campaigns and offerings
  • Identify training/skills gaps for future development of training courses

Within 3 Months:

  • Thoroughly review and understand the current SDR, AE and AM new hire training curriculums
  • Onboard all new hires to the sales department through classroom facilitation
  • Develop and maintain curriculums for training while pinpointing improvements to the existing curriculum
  • Collaborate with BTB Team on training and delivery of new sales collateral and sales decks
  • Determine training needs by observing sales calls, studying sales results and conferring with sales managers and key subject matter experts
  • Continue shadowing, coaching, training and certification of existing Niche SDRs, AEs and AMs
  • Develop testing and measurements to track the progress and success of training initiatives (training completion, outcomes achieved, sales performance) 

Within 6 months:

  • Build detailed sales training plan/calendar by channel (SDR/AE/AM) for the remainder of CY 2021
  • Identify vendors for Learning Management System (LMS) to be review/vetted by key stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver sales training around sales skills, sales plays and tools to drive consistency in the sales organization
  • Implement testing and measurements to track the progress and success of training initiatives (training completion, outcomes achieved, sales performance)
  • Partner with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, and Product and Marketing Teams to accelerate adoption of new products and services
  • Deliver initial results sales rep progress and success from training initiatives (training completion, outcomes achieved, sales performance)
  • Create digital product certifications

Within 12 months:

  • Deliver initial results of sales rep progress and success from training initiatives (training completion, outcomes achieved, sales performance)
  • Implement digital product certifications for 2022
  • Working with Sales Leadership to develop a comprehensive 2022 sales training road map with specific training goals, dates, and measurements for 2022
  • Work closely with Sales Managers on SDR, AE, AM 2021 rep reviews to rollout individual training goals for CY2022

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • A consistent track record of success developing and delivering award winning sales training
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Sales Trainer in relevant industry (SaaS, Education, Digital Marketing, Technology)
  • Effective and dynamic trainer in virtual environment with the ability to "command a room"
  • Knowledge in both the design and the facilitation of learning curriculum for both on-site (instructor led) and virtual learning sessions
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence decision making in a team environment
  • Project management skills to ensure program development and execution stay on track
  • Solid proficiency in core Microsoft Office products, G-Suite and salesforce
  • Experience working in Salesforce, Learning Management Systems and Zoom.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to coach, develop and motivate a team
  • Experience in building an inclusive culture with individuals from varying backgrounds and skill sets
  • Ability to work in Niche Office (post COVID) on a need be basis

Useful Experience

  • Working knowledge of Slack, Yesware, OutReach and Gong (a plus)
  • Experience in digital media, education or advertising is a plus
