About the Role
We are looking for an experienced contract administrator or paralegal. This position reports to our Chief Financial Officer and will primarily support our sales organization. The ideal candidate will have a  high degree of self-sufficiency and also enjoy being part of a team dedicated to providing service to our internal clients and external customers. We are a small, growing finance team handling very high volume. You must be willing to roll up your sleeves and should enjoy a fast-paced, start-up environment.
 
You’ll work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the customer contract creation and review process. You will collaborate with key internal stakeholders and external legal counsel resources to drive accelerating customer growth.

What You Will Do

During the 1st Month:

  • Collaborate with various team members to learn about the company
  • Work with members of the Finance, Sales and Business Development teams to begin to understand our customers and associated Niche product offerings
  • Begin to understand our existing processes for contract creation, review and completion utilizing Salesforce, Conga, Word and DocuSign
  • Partner with external legal counsel to understand current working relationship and establish regular communication

Within 3 Months:

  • Fully understand Niche product offerings and the associated contracts and agreements executed with customers and partners
  • Review and draft customer agreements: NDA’s, Insertion Orders and SaaS Agreements
  • Update and organize contract template library for various Niche product offerings
  • Demonstrate understanding of technology tools used in the contracting process including Salesforce, Conga, and DocuSign
  • Become more independent in working with Sales to drive deals through customer’s procurement processes using external legal counsel as needed

Within 6 months:

  • Work cross -functionally with internal teams and external parties to ensure efficient workflow and contract request management
  • Master technology tools used in the contract process including Salesforce, Conga and DocuSign
  • Become the go to resource for contract creation and review
  • Take ownership of establishing KPIs and goals to measure the success of the contract administration process
  • Drive contract process and procedure improvements to reduce end-to-end contract completion cycle times

Within 12 months:

  • Fully own the customer contract process for the organization
  • Ensure KPIs are being met and continuously review for areas of opportunity
  • Implement improvements to workflows and the contract completion times

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal and/or contract administrator and versatile legal admin
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Paralegal certification preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High level proficiency in MS Office with superior knowledge using Word
  • Experience using Salesforce, CRM, Conga and DocuSign are a plus
  • Must be confident, independent, proactive, and resourceful with a high attention to detail
  • Experience working with various functions and levels within an organization, including senior level management
  • Excited to work in a culture of measurability and continuous optimization
