About the Role

Niche is growing at a fast pace! We are looking for someone that has a passion for assisting our People department to ensure that our employees are supported at all stages of their journey at Niche. This role will report directly to our Director of People Development and will work closely with our small but mighty Finance/HR team. You will take and ultimately own general HRIS administrative functions in ADP WorkforceNow, benefits administration, compensation, meeting/scheduling/logistics support for recruiting, training, and assist with planning company events as needed. To be successful in this role you must be detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and have continuous process improvement always in mind.
 

What You Will Do

During the 1st Month:

  • Learn about Niche through various onboarding sessions, including our history and what various departments do
  • Establish regular meetings with various stakeholders (your manager, our recruiter, office manager, etc.) to learn more about our processes and where you can step in right away
  • Spend time learning how our HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow) has been configured and start taking ownership of various processes, e.g., onboarding, employee maintenance, benefits administration, etc.
  • Be able to successfully navigate our applicant tracking system (JazzHR) and work with our recruiter to help us meet our aggressive hiring plans by assisting with interview scheduling and recruitment event planning.

Within 3 Months:

  • Own your first wave of new joiners from post-offer acceptance to successfully inputing their information in relevant systems
  • Use data and your own instincts to identify inefficiencies and innovate/improve: you'll have the ability to influence and drive change and process improvement 
  • Begin working on refreshing our onboarding process in partnership with the Director of People Development and the management team
  • Be the point person for interview scheduling and recruiting events

Within 6 Months:

  • Continue to assist with refreshing our onboarding process and implementing changes based on feedback from our management team and candidates
  • Prepare for open enrollment (November 2020) by working with our healthcare broker and various providers to provide our employees with clear information about their benefits options; use ADP to roll out our second year of electronic open enrollment

Within 12 Months:

  • Help scale-out our org, preparing a plan for your development that will help you prepare for greater responsibilities within HR
  • Partner on outlining plans for the next six months - leveraging metrics, historical data, and make recommendations to the Director of People Development

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-4 years of general HR and/or benefits administration experience
  • Working knowledge of HRIS software and systems, particularly ADP WorkforceNow. Other HR software solutions a plus including applicant tracking systems
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws relating to Human Resources with an emphasis on payroll and benefits administration
  • Proven record of handling confidential information discreetly
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, from onboarding to scheduling
  • A passion for detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree and related Human Resources certifications a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, works with a sense of urgency, and thrives in a self-directed entrepreneurial environment; enjoys challenges
