About the Role
We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Reporting and Analytics team. You will need to build and maintain processes that extract, transform and analyze data, and then report and visualize that information in a way that facilitates decision-making for our stakeholders; the key responsibility of this role is to ensure that decision makers have access to actionable intelligence.  Someone who excels in this role will also have the ability to go beyond reporting and to synthesize information into genuine insight. This requires a command of analytical methods but more than technical skills, we are looking for someone who feels comfortable using critical thinking to connect and contextualize information.  

What You Will Do

During the 1st Month:

• Collaborate with various team members to learn about the company
• Work with Analysts across the operations department to learn about our tools, workflow and analytical process
• Shadow Reporting and Analytics team members to learn more about how we collaborate with other areas of the business and how your role fits with external stakeholders and teams
• Learn how to query data from our databases and external data sources, like Google Analytics and Google Ads
• Learn how to clean and analyze data using R 

Within 3 Months:

• Gain a deep understanding of our organization and how different teams work
• Collaborate with members of the Reporting and Analytics team to gain expertise in our current reporting tools
• Start to identify areas for improvements in our reporting workflows and develop strategies for implementing change
• Start to take on analytical projects, like KPI reporting and product launch analysis

Within 6 Months:

• Perform self-directed research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth
• Take full ownership of different research, analytics, and operations initiatives
• Independently create and maintain business intelligence projects, reviewing progress with key decision makers 
• Responsible for analyzing and reporting on company wide metrics; turn analysis into actionable next steps and enhancements
• Develop ability to build, deploy and maintain automated reporting using RShiny and/or Python Dash

Within 12 Months:

• You will have a deep knowledge of our product
• You will own several facets of analytics at Niche
• You will use data-driven and user insights from the app to inform overall product and business strategy

• Experience with marketing automation software
• Understanding of SaaS business strategy
• Understanding of K-12 and/or college admissions processes
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
